Week of March 30, 2020

Hello Families,

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!  This week links that you will find
updated are to Art, PE, Music, and SEL.  There is a link under the math section where
you can print a fraction practice sheet if you would like, and another fun STEM activity
that your child will enjoy!  Next week is spring break. Please look for updates on April 12th.

We’ve added a 3rd grade choice board to allow for a larger choice of activities.

Again, please have your child complete what they can throughout the course of this
week. Please feel free to send me a picture or video of your child completing a learning
task!  I would love to see what they are doing!! :) If internet access or lack of a device
is an issue for your student, please reach out to Mr. Hubble at chubble@sjschools.org.

STEM Challenge #8: Name in Nature
Today's challenge is designed to get you outside for just a little bit! If the weather where you live isn't cooperating you can save this challenge for another day or complete the challenge with items from inside your home.
The Challenge: The weather is (hopefully) getting nicer and warming up because Spring is here!
Can you make your name using only items you find in nature? Sticks, rocks, moss, really
anything you can find!
BONUS: can you make your last name?
I've included examples of letters made from things found in nature in the attached image/document.
Here is a Mystery Doug video on the biggest tree in the world!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLnm54UF_CI
Share your creations below!
Happy STEM!
