3rd Grade Swimming
On Monday, we will be talking with all the 3rd grade students together about 3rd grade swimming. Swimming will be the week of October 21st-October 25th in the morning. Please read Mr. Pfahler’s letter about swimming that will come home on Monday, and return the permission slip as soon as possible. Swimming is part of the P.E. grade, and all students are expected to participate. We normally do our swim unit in the spring, but due to some busing issues, we are doing it earlier this year. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. 

Laps for Lincoln
Keep bringing in those donations! Our classes have been working super hard to earn money for our school. As their teacher, I am so appreciative of the money that PTO raises, as it helps pay for things in our classroom that I normally have to pay out of my pocket. I am so grateful for this wonderful fundraiser. 

Homework
We still have a lot of students forgetting to get their homework signed and returned to school. We are really just wanting to check in with your child, and make sure they are doing some reading at home. Keep reminding them to read, and get their sheet signed and returned on Mondays.

  3rd Grade News  Week 29 April 11th - April 15th Monday, April 11th - Library/Media Center **BRING LIBRARY BOOKS!** Tuesday, April 12th - Art Wednesday, April 13th - LATE START Thursday, April 14th - Gym Friday, April 15th - Music Important Dates Late Starts - April 20th, April 27th No School - May 2nd   Spring Weather As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.   Testing Season We are approaching the testing season after break. We will be taking two different tests, the MSTEP and the NWEA. Our testing will take place in the morning on the following dates. Please try to avoid scheduling any appointments during these times.
