3rd Grade Swimming
We will start swimming next week on October 21st.  Make sure that your students return their swimming
consent forms ASAP.  They will need a swimsuit, towel, and plastic bag to bring next week. They can
also bring goggles.  Make sure to put their name or initials on them.  

Fall Conferences
I really enjoyed getting to meet with so many parents already this week.  I am looking forward to
continuing conferences throughout October and into November. If you haven't chosen a time on the
Sign Up Genius, please do so soon.  Thanks! 

Other Notes
The Homework Sheet continues to have a reading log and choice activities on it.  Remember that it’s
your child's job to ask you to sign their paper and return it on Mondays.
We are super excited to start our math unit on time this week.  Thanks so much for your continued
support of our classroom.

Week of April 11th, 2022

  3rd Grade News  Week 29 April 11th - April 15th Monday, April 11th - Library/Media Center **BRING LIBRARY BOOKS!** Tuesday, April 12th - Art Wednesday, April 13th - LATE START Thursday, April 14th - Gym Friday, April 15th - Music Important Dates Late Starts - April 20th, April 27th No School - May 2nd   Spring Weather As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.   Testing Season We are approaching the testing season after break. We will be taking two different tests, the MSTEP and the NWEA. Our testing will take place in the morning on the following dates. Please try to avoid scheduling any appointments during these times. With both of these tests, we need to take a math test and a reading test. Here are the dates that we are testing: MSTEP Reading - April 19th and 20th NWEA Reading   - April 26th

Please check in with your child to see how many slices they have earned and continue to have them practice at home.  IXL F Skill builders are a great way to practice.
