Thanksgiving Luncheon
Our traditional Thanksgiving Luncheon is this Thursday, November 14th. As many of you know, this
is a very special day at Lincoln. The faculty and students eat together in the gym "family style". Our
parents will serve the meal. Those who normally bring a cold lunch are encouraged to purchase
their lunch by bringing $2.50 to school on or before Wednesday, November 13.
Stuff a Truck
Our school is participating in gathering non-perishable food items for families in need in our
community. Students can bring in items from now until November 15th. Items to consider are:
canned goods, cereal, baking goods, boxed meals, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you so much for attending your child's conference this past week. We had almost 100%
parent attendance! It was nice to have the opportunity to talk with each of you about your child's
progress this year. Research has shown that kids do much better in school when their parents play
an active role in their education. A little of your time – every day – will make a much bigger
difference in your child’s education. Parents who ask daily about school and check over schoolwork
send a powerful message about the value of learning. Thanks for all you do!
Cold Weather
Now that we are getting into colder weather patterns, please check the weather so that your child
has the necessary clothing--boots (when there is snow on the ground), hats, coats, snowpants, and
gloves/mittens--to be going out for recess. We do go out most days unless it is raining or below
zero wind chills!
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!
