Math - Multiplication and Division
In math we have started working on learning strategies to solve multiplication and division problems.
 Please watch this short video which helps explain the strategies we are using, as well as some
games you can play at home:  3rd Grade Multiplication and Division.

Nutcracker Performance
Hopefully you have been hearing your child practicing for their Nutcracker performance which is
coming up on Thursday, December 12th. We will have two performances, a daytime show at 9:00
A.M. and an evening performance at 6:00 P.M. Please take a look at the website to find out what

Week of April 11th, 2022

  3rd Grade News  Week 29 April 11th - April 15th Monday, April 11th - Library/Media Center **BRING LIBRARY BOOKS!** Tuesday, April 12th - Art Wednesday, April 13th - LATE START Thursday, April 14th - Gym Friday, April 15th - Music Important Dates Late Starts - April 20th, April 27th No School - May 2nd   Spring Weather As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.   Testing Season We are approaching the testing season after break. We will be taking two different tests, the MSTEP and the NWEA. Our testing will take place in the morning on the following dates. Please try to avoid scheduling any appointments during these times. With both of these tests, we need to take a math test and a reading test. Here are the dates that we are testing: MSTEP Reading - April 19th and 20th NWEA Reading   - April 26th

Please check in with your child to see how many slices they have earned and continue to have them practice at home.  IXL F Skill builders are a great way to practice. We will have our pizza party to celebrate levels passed this Friday. Here is the what students will earn: Facts 1-4 passed = 1 slice of pizza Facts 5-7 passed = 2 slices
