Nutcracker
The Nutcracker is this Thursday!  We will perform for the school at 9:00 A.M., and the evening
performance begins at 6:00 P.M.  Students should arrive to their classroom at 5:30 to
prepare.  We are very excited for this performance. See you Thursday!

Ice Skating with Buddies
Thanks to our PTO and the City of St. Joseph, our Lincoln School K-5 students will be able to ice
skate for free at the Howard Ice Arena on Tuesday, December 17.   Our class will walk with our
buddies in Mrs. Bartz class to and from the ice rink. We will skate from 2:00-2:30. The ice-skating
and skate rental is FREE for our students and any parents that can come and help.  The more adults
we can have helping students with skates, the better! The number of skates per size is limited. If
your child has their own skates, label with their name and allow them to bring them that day. Skates
brought to and/or from school on the bus must be in a duffle bag or a brown paper bag.
Safety/protective helmets are also encouraged & welcomed.

Holiday Concert and Movie
On Friday morning, December 20th, we will be going to St. Joseph High School for the Annual
Holiday Concert.  This is an amazing opportunity to hear our high school band, choir, and orchestra
students perform.  We will return to school before lunch. In the afternoon our class will enjoy holiday
treats and a movie together.

  3rd Grade News  Week 29 April 11th - April 15th Monday, April 11th - Library/Media Center **BRING LIBRARY BOOKS!** Tuesday, April 12th - Art Wednesday, April 13th - LATE START Thursday, April 14th - Gym Friday, April 15th - Music Important Dates Late Starts - April 20th, April 27th No School - May 2nd   Spring Weather As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.   Testing Season We are approaching the testing season after break. We will be taking two different tests, the MSTEP and the NWEA. Our testing will take place in the morning on the following dates. Please try to avoid scheduling any appointments during these times.
